Full Results
The men's West District Championships were first held in the season 1894-5. In season 1929-30 the men's West District was split into 2 sections - the Midland District and the South West District. This continued until the end of the 1974-5 season when the two constituent parts were put together again.
Until and including the season 1948-9 all men's District Championships were contested by athletes termed as "Juniors" who were defined as not havng won District honours in individual or team championships.
The Championships were not held in seasons 1914-5, 1915-6, 1916-7, 1917-8 and 1918-9 due to the first World War.
The formation of the Scottish Athletics Federation saw the amalgamation of the men's and women's Championships in 1993. However the 1992-3 championships were still held separately that season and came together in 1993-4.
